Ditto for the larger SUVs offered by two Korean automakers – both part of the Hyundai Group, by the way, which explains a lot. While Kia's Sorento and Hyundai's Santa Fe don't share the exact same format, they are closely related in terms of platform, and the powertrains are identical, with the exception of total power, which is reduced in this case. Understandably, the mission of these crossovers is more family-oriented than that of compact SUVs.
