So far the German company has only been undergoing research and development for the new model lineup, which Wiedeking says has been extensive.

"We have never spent as much on research and development as we are now, and one doesn't spend that much if there aren't new attractive products one is preparing. Not only do we have new model variants in the pipeline, but also new models," he added.
He added that a decision on the new vehicle can be expected soon.
"We will decide on the fourth model line in early to mid-2005," commented Wiedeking.
Those anti-Cayenne Porschephiles may want to keep their thoughts to themselves from now on, as the Stuttgart brand is in the fast lane. Now all it needs to do is get its SUV to perform as reliably as its sports cars, and it truly will have the world by the tail.
