The revised 2005 Boxster is said to be 80% new and will be in dealerships by next week. Horsepower is up for both 6-cylinder engines: 240 hp and 280 hp.
Both the new Boxster and 911 make a strong return to 993 styling cues; specifically the separated headlamps and turn signals. Both are treated to new revised body panels, bumpers and wheels.
The new 911s get more powerful engines in the 3.6L and 3.8L boxer 6-cylinders. The car has become more sophisticated but some fear they have also lost the edginess that once made these cars a handful to drive.
