Summer is here and we're there! Everywhere, in fact. As you read these lines and over the coming weeks, our crews are and will be jumping through continents bringing you some pretty hot material.
At this very moment, Lesley Wimbush is in Mallorca, Spain, putting the new and upcoming Audi Q5 Hybrid through its paces. Her review will be available early next week.
Next week, Miranda Lightstone, our newest gang member, will be making her way to the Strip in Vegas to find out what the highly anticipated new Hyundai Accent and the revamped Genesis with its new 5.0L V8 have to offer. Miranda's impressions of the 2012 Accent will be online on June 22nd, followed by her thoughts of the 2012 Genesis on June 24th.
Also next week, Matt St-Pierre will be heading off to Germany to sample some of their finest products. As the title states, one will be a Porsche (you'll have to wait to see which one) and the other will be the 35th Anniversary Volkswagen GTI. Once he's done ripping up the Autobahn, he'll head out to soak in the 24 Hours of the Nürburgring on the world famous track. You'll be able to read Matt's review of the GTI Edition 35 on June 24th.
Later on, Mike Goetz will be one of the first in the country to test drive GM's eAssist technology in the 2012 Buick LaCrosse. Lucky Lesley will pack her Stetson and fly out to Calgary to see what the new 2012 SLK-Class Mercedes can do. Impressions of the SLK and the LaCrosse eAssist will be available early next month.
We're already well into July with more new car launches. We've got drives lined up with brand-new products from Nissan, Kia, Volkswagen and Mercedes-Benz.
