Two very interesting videos were produced during the recent tests held by the Citroen Racing team in Sweden in preparation for Round 2 of the World Rally Championship.
Mikko Hirvonen was behind the wheel of the Citroen DS3 WRC car.
The first video shows the foot work of Hirvonen while driving on the snow, using his left foot to brake and "steer" the Fiesta into the corners. Note his driving mistake at 1:44 when he has to use the clutch to recover from a small mishap.
The second video shows a French journalist being given a very entertaining ride in the co-driver seat. We can clearly see how a standing start is executed.
Note at 4:20 when the car reaches its top speed. The DS3 travels at 190 km/h (118 mph) on a snow covered road and the engine hits the rev limiter in 6th gear. Cool!
