Antoine L’Estage added some lust to his already winning-full year last week-end in Los Angeles’ Coliseum as he beat his Rally America rival Bill Bacon to a third place finish in this year’s ESPN X Games.
Never had a Canadian driver gotten such success in this popular event before. The Quebecker’s bronze medal adds to his American Rally title, won earlier this summer.
Co-drivers were not allowed to participate to the event that saw L’Estage beat not only Bacon in eight of finals but also the popular Swedish driver Kenny Bräck in forth of finals.
Unfortunately for L’Estage, his teammate of the Rockstar team, Tanner Foust, got the best of him. He was on his way to victory in all Rally competitions.
L’Estage also took the third place in qualifying round of the Super Rally competition, getting two seconds short from a participation in the final.
Next round of the Canadian Rally Championship is schedule for September 10-11 in Ste-Agathe, Québec (Rallye Défi).
