The FIA stated that the negotiations in order to find a global promoter for the 2012 WRC season have failed.
Since January, after the end of collaboration with North One Sport, the FIA has continued discussions to find a new promoter for the World Rally Championship.
At the Rally Monte Carlo, the ACO (organiser of the event) had reached a last-minute agreement with TV channel Eurosport to broadcast the event on television.
But the FIA and Eurosport were unable to find an agreement for the entire season. It now seems that the FIA has no choice but to provide tv coverage as well as timing and tracking at each event.
