Rally: Nathalie Richard became first woman to receive Bertrand-Fabi Trophy

Each year, a Quebec team or driver receives the Bertrand-Fabi Trophy from the Sport Car Federation of Quebec comes the end of the season. For the first time since its creation in 1986, the Trophy was handed to a woman.

Antoine L’Estage and co-driver Nathalie Richard won this year’s Trophy for their performances in Canadian an American rally. The drivers are in position to win another Canadian Rally Championship as they lead with one race to go in the 2009 season. They are also in position to win yet another North-American Championship.

L’Estage cumulates seventeen victories all categories confounded as Richard cumulates sixteen in Canada adding to her three North-American titles.

The Bertrand-Fabi Trophy honours a Quebec driver or team that has accomplished the most on a national and/or international level. It was created in the name of a Quebec Formula 1 prospect and three times Formula 2000 champion that died during a Formula 3 test session in Goodwood, England.
