Taylor admits that while the engine does fit, "the battery's in the front seat", a minor problem easily solved by relocating it to the trunk, or under the rear seat. With little doubt, the engine would most likely be paired to the six-speed Two-Tronic 'paddleshift' automatic gearbox found in the DB9. In Vanquish S tune, the engine delivers a monstrous 520-horsepower and 425 lb-ft of torque. Incredibly, this would still keep the top-tier

But what does Dr. Ulrich Bez have to say about his precision powerplants being used in an off-roader? Taylor says that Bez "is perfectly happy to let us have the engines." So, it seems as if it's a match made in heaven, a glorious V12 wedged under the hood of the world's most sophisticated and, arguably, well-built sport utility vehicle. But of course, there is a cost. Taylor added that completing the work by running the vehicle through testing and development would mean that money otherwise available for other projects will be used.
