It's a GO! Prototypes of the "baby" Rolls-Royce, known internally as RR4, are busy testing wearing much less camouflage than ever before!
The new and slightly less formal Rolls-Royce will likely be riding on BMW's long-wheelbase 7-Series platform using its V8 or V12, maybe even a turbodiesel engine.
Pricing will start in the low $300,000 range. It will consequently be a direct competitor of Mercedes' Maybach and Bentley's Continental Flying Spur.
Production is now expected to begin in 2010, with an annual run of 800 vehicles. Although the numbers look low, this should double Rolls-Royce's annual sales!
