And since cars and Route 66 are so intimately entwined, the Caverns & Inn has also decided to pay tribute to the film Cars by reusing the fictitious name of the village from the film, Radiator Springs.

This fairly dilapidated Ford was one of the healthiest-looking cars on site, if you can believe that.

Here is frankly a pale imitation of the character of Tow Mater in the film Cars. In fact, so poor is that most folks will likely miss the connection when looking at the vehicle. Some might be able to figure it out from those “tongues” in front, but probably not many...

Here is one that surely transported families over many years, and probably on a portion if not all of Route 66 as well. Clearly, its best days are behind it. Those who’ve seen the Breaking Bad series might find it hard to look at this type of vehicle and not imagine it being used once upon a time for various nefarious purposes.
