For most people, a divorce is a long, difficult process – but not for Saab. In order to celebrate its first year of independence from General Motors, the Swedish automaker launched the Saab 9-3 Independence Edition.
Sporting an exclusive orange body, the car stands out with 5-spoke, 18-inch alloy wheels, orange-trimmed beige leather sports seats and glove box, leather finish for the instrument panel, handbrake, gearshift moulding and door handles, orange-stitched leather sports steering wheel and carpet mats with grey piping as well as a unique turbo boost gauge.
The 9-3 Independence Edition is powered by a 2.0L turbocharged engine that delivers 220 horsepower through a six-speed automatic or manual transmission.
Starting today, February 23, production will stop exactly when the counter reaches 366 units – the number of days in the first year of independence plus one for the start of the second year.
