The relationship between Infiniti, the F1 Red Bull Racing team and driver Sebastian Vettel is getting deeper. After a session where he showed fans what he was capable of behind the wheel of an FX crossover, the world champion helped design a special edition of the machine set to be unveiled on September 19 at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
The automaker has refused to divulge any info on the vehicle, but did give us a glimpse at the special FX. We’re looking at a bigger, meaner grille, a row of LED daytime running lights and new sport wheels to replace the current ones.
Let’s hope the suspension will have been tweaked to offer a stiffer ride and the engine will generate more grunt and torque too, fitting well with the Sebastian Vettel’s image and that of any F1 driver worth of the name. It’s all just speculation for now.
