As the new season of the World Rally Championship begins in Sweden, Sebastien Loeb talked about his future in general, adding that he was quite interested in competing in the DTM series.
“At this moment, yes, I would say I am going to stop at the end of the year,” he told the newspaper Les Dernières Nouvelles d'Alsace newspaper.
“But who knows? Maybe when spring or summer comes, I will be motivated to do another season in the WRC.”
"The find the DTM attractive,” he added
“This fits with my “only-son” side, rather solo, with battles on the race track that you don’t find in team racing. DTM is a category where you have to invest yourself, and work hard to make progress. You cannot arrive in this series and be a number one. It’s motivating”.
However, Loeb could consider racing in other series, such as in rally raid or in endurance.
“To run the Dakar one day would be nice,” he continues.
“I could also be tempted to do road racing, including the Le Mans 24 Hours. Even if I had to cancel my participation at the last moment last year, I do not think the door is completely closed with Peugeot.”
