Drivers and teams of the Star Mazda Championship will be heading to Trois-Rivieres on the upcoming weekend in margin of the 39th edition of the Grand Prix, near Quebec City's 400th anniversary celebrations.
This second race in as many weekends is promising to be exciting as we count four different winners over the last four races. Hall, Gladdis, Dempsey and Edwards are all of that number and they will all be willing to throw an awesome show for the spectators on the difficult street circuit.
Alex Ardoin and Joel Miller will also be to watch this weekend, as they will try to improve their position in the standing and possibly reach the top of it since they are now respectively second and third.
As for now, after six of 11 races, rookie driver Charles Hall is still the one on top of the standing, followed closely by Ardoin, Miller and Peter Dempsey - also the winner of last week-end's race in Road America.
Canadian driver Chris Cumming, from Vancouver, B.C., is the one driver leading the Experts Class standing with four category wins and two top-ten finishes so far this season. In the Masters Class, Chuck Hulse is on top with three wins and two podiums so far.
It might be a difficult weekend for the teams as they were used to have an important break separating every race this season. They were off over a month in June!
The teams will have to adapt very fast to this week-to-week traveling and racing as they are heading straight to Mosport after Trois-Rivieres. At least the drivers can't complain they didn't have enough time to get in shape...
