Pedal to the metal, you anticipate the next corner and, like a true F1 driver, you cross the finish line at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in first place – fastest lap of the day!
This unique adventure may not seem like a dream after all. At the 2010 Montreal International Auto Show, from January 15 to 24, you will be able to take on the best as you race against the clock on the legendary American track and try to win numerous prizes.
Four racing simulators with D-Box technology await visitors at the AUTO123.com Interactive Zone. These actual F1 cockpits surrounded by three large monitors will give you genuine race thrills thanks to motion generators that follow your every move behind the wheel. These simulators are all connected together, so you will have the opportunity to challenge other visitors and find out who’s the fastest.
Unique in Canada
Another simulator will make its Canadian debut in Montreal. The Cruden Hexatech is a professional racing simulator inspired from aeronautics and simulators used by top racing teams. Experience the thrills and chills of pushing an open-wheel car to the limit. The six electrical actuators provide "six degrees of freedom" and can lift you up to 3 metres in the air to feel even more real.
Alone on the track, your job will be to complete the fastest lap of the day or the entire show, in hope of winning one of several prizes from the AUTO123.com Interactive Zone.
Exciting prizes
Each day, a $100 certificate for gas will be randomly awarded to lucky participants. At the end of the show, the best drivers with the fastest times will receive cash prizes as follows: $250 for 3rd place, $500 for 2nd place and $2,000 for 1st place. These prizes apply for both F1 Cockpit and Hexatech participants.
If you don’t feel like racing, you can still enter your name on a coupon and become eligible to win an emergency car kit, an iPod touch or a digital camera.
Of course, you will also have the opportunity to learn more about the auto industry and receive tips and advice from AUTO123.com experts throughout the entire event.
The racing simulators are available to anyone for free for as long as the show is open.
See you at the AUTO123.com Interactive Zone at Palais des Congrès de Montréal, from January 15 to 24, 2010!
