Beauty vs. Brawn
A few weeks ago, Matt and Miranda took to the streets in two uber-luxurious Bentleys: the 2012 Bentley Continental GT and the 2012 Bentley Mulsanne. While both were sufficiently impressed with their prestigious steeds, they also came to realize how different they each were. Of course, being Miranda and Matt, they immediately started comparing their cars (think boys locker-room talk). Instead of just arguing amongst themselves (much to the annoyance of their colleagues), they decided to share their debate with you lot.

While these cars are both Bentleys through and through, they really are beasts of a different breed. It was immediately clear that things like driveability and overall interior amenities differed greatly, and those are both points Matt and Miranda touched on in their parking-lot debate. There's no clear winner at the end of this back-and-forth, but clearly there's a favourite. Read on to find out which one it is.

Miranda Lightstone (ML):
First off, my Bentley has more power; so that immediately makes my ride cooler – and me by association.

Matt St-Pierre (MSP): What your car makes in outright power is easily crushed by the sheer size and girth of my luxury mastodon on wheels. Size matters. You know this to be true.

ML: Trying to make up for a lack somewhere else St-Pierre? Power aside for the moment though, looking at my Continental GT next to your Mulsanne, and I have to say I prefer the GT's stance. It's considerably more muscular-looking. Sure, the Mulsanne is grand and stoic, with a flat-fronted grille and a much more straight-up stance than the crouched-low GT, but there's definitely more of an air of “sport” about the GT. And yet, the Bentley wings are still highly visible across the nose so you get the power of the prestige with the powerful look – it's the best of both worlds.

MSP: When looking to make an entrance, showing up in a Mulsanne is a sure-fire way of getting everyone's attention and respect. Crouched and low, as you say, your GT will have passers-by look down at you, sporty or not. People look up to those in a Muslanne. Grand and regal, it will never be mistaken for anything else (maybe a Rolls-Royce) other than a rich and discerning person's car, not a wannabe poser. Take that!
