Bentley Continental Flying Spur Speed. Now that's quite mouthful to get out when explaining to people what car you drive. However, if they happened to be viewing your new Bentley at the time, they probably wouldn't even hear what you were saying anyway, because they would be too engrossed in the vehicle itself. Honestly, if a car could make a person desperate to win the lottery, it is this one!
With a top speed of 200mph, the Continental Flying Spur Speed is the fastest four-door Bentley available to date. Powered by a 6L 12 cylinder twin-turbocharged engine which produces 600bhp, this majestic beast can propel the fortunate owner and four highly privileged passengers from 0-60 mph in a mere 4.5 seconds. That is super car performance in anyone's book, yet when you consider the size and weight of the vehicle, it almost defies belief.
The words Bentley and speed have always gone hand in hand, yet this vehicle takes that to a whole new plateau. The amazing power from the vehicles ultra smooth W12 engine is fed through a 6 speed transmission and out to all four wheels through a continuous all-wheel-drive system. Plainly put, it is engineering at its very best.
Strange, but as I stood there gazing in wonderment at this beautiful work of art on wheels, a little tune popped into my mind. I think that it came from the musical Fiddler on the Roof, and went something like..."If I was a rich man"!!!
Nissan Qashqai. In North America, the Rogue is Nissan's compact crossover. However, the name Qashqai resides overseas on what can only be described as its closest living relative. The Qashqai has been sold in Europe and other parts of the world for a number of years now as a 5-passenger CUV. At least that was true, until the all new Qashqai+2 made its debut at the British Motor Show earlier this week, with available 7-passenger seating.
Immediately, the rumor mongers went to work. Could there be some ulterior motive behind this move to 7-passenger capabilities? Could the Qashqai+2 perhaps be heading stateside?
