Next weekend sees Moscow stage a spectacular motorsport event in preparation for the maiden Grand Prix of Russia, and Formulec will be there.

The heart of the Russian capital, near Red Square, sees iconic Formula 1 teams Ferrari, McLaren and Lotus take to a magnificent two-kilometre layout as part of the Moscow City Racing event.
Formulec’s 100% electrical EF01 single seater will also be there proving that motorsport can be just as successful when utilising clean propulsion and in doing so both accelerating technological development and promoting a more dynamic image.
As at Cancun’s COP16 last December, Berlin’s Bibendum Challenge in May, and at the famous Le Mans 24 Hours circuit in June, the EF01 single seater’s public appearance will benefit from a superb backdrop.
On this occasion, Formulec has the pleasure of being supported by two leading Russian companies: telecommunications operator Megafon and insurance company Ingosstrakh.
Branding of such prominent players in the Russian market appearing on the EF01 demonstrates a significant level of interest surrounding electrical vehicle development in a nation which boasts a fast growing economy.
Regular driver Alexandre Prémat is joined by Russian youngster Daniil Move behind the wheel of EF01, which should run on Saturday night before appearing twice throughout Sunday.
This promotional event is part of a programme undertaken by Formulec over the last few years in its race towards organising a dedicated international electric single seater championship.
