Nissan has once again demonstrated that its jaunty Juke can quickly pose as a sports car when needed. After unveiling the athletic Juke-R, the Japanese automaker teamed up with its Nismo division to do just that at the Tokyo Motor Show.
The lowered suspension and complete body kit give it a lower, wider stance, and the diminutive crossover’s pearl white finish with red highlights creates a much meaner looking machine than the production version.
The Nissan Juke Nismo features a revised turbocharged 4-cylinder for improved power and performance as well as new 19” wheels for superior grip.
The cabin wasn’t neglected either, inheriting leather-clad bucket seats among other things. The steering wheel, gauges, shifter knob and door trim have all been redesigned, and the centre console’s metallic finish takes care of the rest.
Nissan says the Juke Nismo concept reflects the direction a high-end sport version of the popular crossover may take in the future.
