SUV/wagon – Subaru Outback
Speaking of the Outback, the Impreza-on-stilts also beats all comes in its category, although to be fair this is a weird category. There as many folks who consider this a straight-out wagon as who call it an SUV, but no matter, the Outback delivers a great fit for the typical Subaru weekend warrior.
Lots of cargo room, a surprisingly decent drive (thank you Impreza), good ground clearance a comfortable if unostentatious interior and that AWD system all contribute to taking the Outback to the top of CR’s ranking for 2021. And those who go for the XT variant will enjoy more kick from under the hood.
