2nd place: Ram Pickup – 30,459 units
It’s now just called the Ram, but Chrysler’s full-size pickup is constantly offering more content, more trim levels as well as a raging 5.7-litre HEMI V8 engine that’s hard to deny.
The 1500 series of the Ram can be had in numerous bed and cab configurations, and innovates somewhat with segment-exclusive features such the Rambox storage compartments located on the bed walls.
As for the heavy-duty Ram, its new 6.7-litre Cummins High Output turbodiesel engine pumps out 350 horsepower and 800 lb-ft of torque, while Power Wagon, Outdoorsman and Laramie Longhorn editions cater to specific needs and wants. When properly equipped, the Ram HD can tow up to 22,700 lbs.
The Ram might not catch up to the #1 selling vehicle in Canada this year, but its strong 2nd-place ranking is no mystery.
