Top 10 Cars to Ask Santa for

Naughty or nice, as The Rock would say: “It don’t matter!” ‘cause these are the cars you should hold Santa at gunpoint for.

Between the model years 2014 and 2016, carmakers have car and driving enthusiasts alike salivating and dreaming big.

It seems like every year there happens to be a crop of cars that are poster-worthy, and although I’d like to throw in a few late-model cars to this mix (like the BMW 1M or the Ford Mustang Boss 302), what’s currently available or will be shortly are just as good.

In no particular order, here are the cars I would hold an elf (or 50) hostage for:

2014 Porsche 911 GT3
The ultimate in street-legal racecars. The GT3 is 475 horsepower of awesome track performance.

2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat
Want bragging rights? Like, “I’ve got 707 horsepower. What you got?” type of bragging rights? This is the only way to go.

2016 Cadillac ATS-V
M3/M4/RS 5 killer. I think that’s reason enough, especially if you’ve got something against the Germans…

2015 Audi R8 Competition
Like to get looks wherever you go? Craving to be unique and noticed, but never want to stick around too long? This is the car for you.

2015 Mazda MX-5
Driving is a privilege. Only when driving an MX-5 do we begin to fully understand what it actually means to drive.

2015 BMW i8
This car is nothing short of a showcar. It’s the Delorean of the 21st century except it really moves and could be from the future.

2015 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28
A Camaro says a lot about its owner. I’ll let you figure it out. A Z/28 says something completely different and it all should take place on a track.

2015 Volkswagen Golf R
Civilized, fast, and unstoppable, the Golf R is user-friendly and easy to live with. This is the gentleman boyracer’s dream machine.

2016 Ford Mustang GT350
No need to make noise fro this one. It’ll stir up trouble on its own. The possibilities of a dual between it and the Z/28 have us weak in the knees. Best ask for both.

2015 Subaru WRX STI
While you’re at it, ask for the STI and the Golf R too. A more potent and in-your-face statement of intent is hard to find. Turbo! AWD! And a massive spoiler! Boom!
