5.Toyota Camry
Back in the day, when discussing this model that has long been one of the most popular cars in North America, talk usually focused on its tremendous mechanical reliability and construction quality, along with an inevitable mention of its yawn-inducing silhouette. The 7th generation of the Camry, first introduced at the 2014 New York Auto Show, did make some progress in this regard, but nothing that compares to the pleasant surprise that was the new edition’s unveiling in Detroit. The sedan’s angles are more aggressive, the front fascia truly unique, and its aerodynamic qualities were fine-tuned on cars running in NASCAR’s Monster Energy series. The show’s Toyota stand, in fact, featured a car that will be used on the track next season. None other than NASCAR team-owner Joe Gibbs and his star driver Kyle Busch were on hand as well.
