The 3.0L V6 engine that powers the Ram EcoDiesel gets regular praise for its capabilities, but is often disparaged for its poor reliability and the resulting maintenance costs that can bedevil owners.
Ram is offering this year a new generation of the model, but caution is called for here, for the reason stated just above. Buyers should beware, or at least well-informed.
