Ram 1500 EcoDiesel
Never one to miss a glaring opportunity, the U.S. manufacturer came to the sensible conclusion at some point that there was a market for light-duty trucks fitted with turbo-diesel engines, which are generally less fuel-hungry and thus easier on the pocketbook. That's how the EcoDiesel V6 came to be introduced in the previous-generation Ram 1500.
The 3.0L V6 returned to the lineup in 2020, delivering 260 hp and a 480 lb-ft of torque that’s typical of diesel engines. In addition, when the vehicle is unloaded, it’s capable of delivering a combined fuel economy rating of 9.7L/100 km.
