4. Dodge Durango
Despite being slightly smaller than its GM and Ford competitors, the Dodge Durango from FCA (Fiat Chrysler Automobiles) can pull its weight and then some. Available with an impressive V6 or the legendary HEMI V8 gasoline engine, the Durango can pull trailers of up to 7,400 lbs, even though it has a self-supporting chassis (meaning there is no rigid frame under the chassis like you’ll find under the Ford and GM models). Rumour has it that we could eventually see a 7-passenger Jeep based on the Durango, and the assumption is that this new Jeep would have a similar hauling capability.
