10. Greenwich Avenue, 1976
An absolutely beautiful photo, obviously taken by a professional. It shows us of course a Buick from the mid-70s, but also a restaurant belonging to the White Tower chain. At its height that chain, founded in 1929, had 230 branches. The White Tower chain, founded in 1929, has already had 230 branches. Today only one is rumoured to remain, located in Ohio. Where this photo was taken is now a commercial building.

The 1970s were marked by two oil crises, in 1973 and 1979. We can see a price that seems pretty darn reasonable at 82 cents per gallon, but it should be noted that a few months before, a gallon sold for less than 50 cents. An incredible picture.
