The MINI Countryman shares a number of mechanical components and even its platform with the BMW X1 and X2. The staple of the MINI brand – smiles on the faces of drivers – is definitely present here. More vertical in its stance, the Countryman is also a little easier to live with in daily commuting and driving of children back and forth, etc.
Thing is, there are more practical options on the market in the same price range, if you broaden your search to include mass-market brands. MINI can boast about offering a plug-in hybrid variant, unique in this segment.
