This nameplate return has been so under the radar you might have needed sonar to catch it. Maybe because the last iteration hardly covered itself in sales glory. The last Chevrolet Trailblazer was produced from 2001 to 2008 in North America. Before that, the name had been used as a group on the Blazer from 1998 to 2001.

Quite frankly, the first model didn't make much of a mark on the imagination, so there were few complaints when Chevrolet announced the return of what is, on its own, a pretty decent name. Some did find something to complain about, and that is that Chevy was resurrecting the name to serve with a model sitting in a completely different category than before. Let's just say that folks got over it quickly.
