The Nissan Kicks' direct competitor is the Hyundai Venue. And in fact, like the Kicks, the diminutive Korean crossover is also a subcompact in disguise. Indeed, under its kinda-rugged appearance lurks… essentially a Hyundai Accent.
However, the Korean automaker’s strategists have found a way to beat Nissan on price by keeping a manual transmission for the base model of the Venue.
