6th place: 2022 Kia Forte LX w/ manual transmission $18,295 + $1,645 in fees
Kia just recently announced 2022 pricing for the compact sedan. The cousin of the Elantra within the greater Hyundai automotive group sells for a few dollars more ... with a manual transmission of course! Let's mention that the Forte is changing a bit in 2022, which provided a nice excuse to inflate the prices.
An option: take advantage of the last base models available in the country of the 2021 edition of this excellent compact sedan while there are still some left!
Otherwise, for 2022, the base engine is a 2.0L 4-cylinder with 147 hp and 132 lb-ft of torque. The LX version comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, heated front seats, cruise control and LED running lights.
