8 – Volkswagen ID. Buggy Concept
A large sub-category of concept vehicles are projects that aren’t intended to conclude in a production model. A fine example is Volkswagen’s ID. Buggy prototype rolled out on exhibition floor of the Geneva Motor Show this week. A smart gambler won’t bet on this ever making it to dealerships.
Instead, its main objectives are to show off the company’s chops in terms of originality, and to highlight the versatility of the EV platform VW has developed. In this case, it’s possible to add an auxiliary electric motor in the front to create all-wheel-drive, for example.
