The Escape continues to be one of the bestselling crossovers available – and not only has a hybrid been available for quite some time, but Ford was one of the first manufacturers to make a hybrid CUV – so it stands to reason they’d do a PHEV model.
The Escape PHEV comes powered by a 2.5L 4-cylinder plus EV motor good for 210 hp and 155 lb-ft. Range is an estimated 60 km – that’s one of the best figures on this list – but can only be had with front-wheel-drive.
