Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV

Of all the vehicles here, the Outlander represent one of the best value propositions thanks to its cost of entry as well as industry-leading 10-year warranty. Inside, we find three-rows of seating and an interior that wins heads and tails above the Outlander of old, thanks in no small part to input from Nissan, which added top-quality materials and build quality.

Underneath it all, we find Mitsubishi’s S-AWC AWD system, still one of the most formidable in the business, perfect for adverse winter weather or trips over dusty dirt roads to the cabin or campsite.
Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV electric range: 61 km
Nissan Rogue PHEV

We’ve lived through a couple of years of speculation, fed in good part by the existence of the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV, built on the same platform as the Rogue. But it’s finally official for 2025: the popular Rogue is going to get some PHEV tech of its own, even if we may not see the model until 2026.
We’re expecting a similar powertrain to the Mitsubishi, meaning a 2.4L four-cylinder combined with a pair of EV motors, good for about 250 hp.
Nissan Rogue (expected) electric range: N/A, but likely similar to Outlander, so about 60 km
