The 2022 model-year will have seen the introduction of the Kona N version, a limited-edition model that answers a question no one ever really asked. In fact, the other vehicle that more directly rivals that pocket rocket is the CX-30 Turbo.

In any case, there’s no denying the flexibility of the Kona offering. The small SUV can be delivered with two other 4-cylinder engines, but also a purely electric option. Although, take note that the Kona Electric can only be had with front-wheel drive, unlike the Hyundai Ioniq 5, a slightly larger and far more modern model not available with a gas engine.
