Car and Driver makes an interesting analogy regarding the Rubicon version of the Jeep Gladiator. In the view of the magazine’s experts, that variant is as at home when off-roading as the Chevrolet Corvette is on a track.
The Gladiator pickup isn't described as the best in its segment, but it's certainly the most pleasant and versatile, as it can be transformed into a 4X4 to face the worst conditions or into a convertible to enjoy the sunniest days of summer. The folks at Car and Driver also cite the availability of a manual transmission, a rarity in the industry today.
The model is expensive and the brand's history of reliability is frightening, but the charm really kicks in when you get behind the wheel.
