Best electric vehicle: Hyundai Kona Electric
Over the course of 2021, odds are that the Kona will be stripped of its status as king of the castle, seeing as how there’s an army of new all-electric pretenders to the throne coming over the hill just yonder.
But, for the next few months at least, the crown continues to reside on the head of this appealing Korean crossover. The reasons are the same as last year, but there’s one particular one this year, one that has nothing to do with the model’s exceptional road handling or impressive range. No, the best news for EV shoppers who look down at their shortlist and see the Kona Electric on it, is that the automaker has increased production of the model for 2021. Which means that waiting lists should, in principle at least, get much shorter and possibly disappear.
Honorable mentions go to other Korean EVs: the Kia Niro and Kia Soul.
