The recreational pickup segment has grown wings in recent seasons, notably with the return of Ford's Ranger and the Jeep Gladiator. Not to be outdone, General Motors has been doing a great job in its own right with its Colorado/Canyon tandem since its return a few years ago. The American auto giant understood that it took several trim levels and a range of powertrains well-adapted to the vehicle's chassis to attract customers.
