What about the Tesla Model Y?
We would be remiss if we didn’t at least mention the best-selling electric crossover on the planet, the Tesla Model Y, which admittedly needs no introduction. However, its base price (over $80,000) makes it pretty hard to classify as an “affordable” EV, even when you factor in the savings on gas and maintenance it delivers over time.
The maverick automaker has made it a habit to be a little unpredictable with its pricing in recent months and years, and in the case of the Y, it has made of the EV a premium model, quite simply.
