The more traditional-looking Niro is not actually based on the same platform as the Soul. And in its case, like the Hyundai Ioniq (the other, older Ioniq, not the new Ioniq 5), the small SUV is offered with three electrified powertrains. In the case of the pure electric version, we're talking about a vehicle as interesting as the Soul EV or even the Kona Electric at Hyundai.
In fact, the Niro's popularity is such that Kia has decided to renew the vehicle for 2023 with an updated design.
