9 — Toyota Vitz
Since its debut in the late 1990s in Japan, the model known as Echo, then Yaris at home, has been known as the Vitz in Japan. In Canada, in case you’ve forgotten, the model made its debut in 2003 under the name Echo.
10 — Nissan Lafesta
The Nissan Lafesta was a wagon sold by Nissan in Asian markets from 2004 to 2017. The name Festa is borrowed from the Italian and signifies celebration, family time, etc.
The model is based on Nissan's C platform and its basic elements were in turn used for the Renault Megane as well as for the XTrail SUV familier to North American consumers.
If we had photographed a second-generation model, you would have recognized it as the... Mazda5. Yes, Mazda had supplied the vehicle to its rival Nissan.
