9th place: Cadillac CTS
The midsize sedan is about to leave us, another victim of the stampede among consumers in the direction of SUVs. Consumer Reports praised the car for its handling and rigidity of its chassis.
However, the complexity of its CUE infotainment system helped flagged the sedan in this survey, while the relatively restricted space in the second row of seats further hurt the CTS’s score. CR also underlines the lack of refinement of the engines not found in the CTS-V. Reported problems with the CTS included the ventilation system, undercarriage and even transmission.
