Which company makes the best cars? That’s a great question. Once again, Consumer Reports is there to help buyers with their rankings of the best vehicle makes and best models in each category.
The reputable magazine considered such factors as reliability, safety, performance, and owner satisfaction.
Leading all makes are Audi and Subaru with a score of 80 and 78, respectively, out of a possible 100 points. In terms of reliability, only Lexus (3rd overall) and Toyota (8th) earn the highest possible rating. Buick (7th) is the top American make, well ahead of Ford (16th).
