Three new concepts developed by Toyota — and badged as Toyota, Lexus and Scion models, respectively — are making their first appearance in the country at the 2015 Canadian International Auto Show in Toronto.
Toyota i-Road Concept
This unique electric three-wheeler combines the styling and manoeuvrability of a motorcycle with the protection and comfort of a small car. Only 870mm wide, it only takes up one quarter of a conventional parking space, while also offering a range of about 50 km with a full charge.
Visitors will not only find the i-Road Concept on display at the Toyota booth, but they will also have the opportunity to see it in action in room 715 of the South building at the show during public days where a demonstration will happen throughout the day.
Scion iM Concept
Here is a sleek, fun, and versatile 5-door compact hatchback that will inspire the production version of the iM arriving in dealerships later this year.
Highlights include a wide stance with a low ride height, front and rear bumper overhangs, geometric grille inserts, and 19” forged alloy wheels. Beyond the iM Concept's sporty and youthful exterior are qualities like dynamic handling, easy parking, and loads of cargo room.
Lexus RC F GT3 Concept
This concept promises to raise Lexus' racing ambitions beginning this year, with hopes of competing in the FIA GT3 category in Europe.
Based on the new RC F coupe, the Lexus RC F GT3 Concept weighs less (1,250kg) and rides lower. It also uses a modified version of the 5.0L V8 engine to deliver more than 540 horsepower.
