Chevrolet will leave the British Touring Car Championship with immediate effect, in order to focus on WTCC programme.
Chevrolet, which BTCC effort was ran by team RML, classified third in constructor championship in 2010 British Touring Car Championship, and took second place behind Honda last season.
In 2011, Jason Plato took third place in driver championship, with eight victories and twelve podium finishes. Last week, Plato was announced to leave Chevy for MG, which will return to BTCC in 2012.
The american brand will focus on World Touring Car Championship this season, to retain its WTCC crown with drivers Yvan Muller (last year champion), Rob Huff and Alain Menu, with their Chevrolet Cruze 1,6 liters turbo, also ran by team RML.
