Toyota has just announced a voluntary recall of 3.37 million vehicles around the world.

Toyota Prius, Prius Plug-in, and Lexus CT 200h models built from 2008-2012 (495,000 units in North America) are affected by defective airbag inflators ― not made by Takata, incidentally ― that could partially inflate and enter the vehicle interior, leading to possible injuries to front-seat occupants.

Furthermore, some Toyota Prius, Auris, and Corolla models are prone to cracks, which could expand over time and lead to fuel leaks. The number of units affected in North America remains unspecified, however.

So far, no injuries have been linked to either issue, the company assured.
