The 9000 square metre VW section at the International Automobile Exhibition in Frankfurt will see Volkswagen present over fifty models, including a number of world premiers and six new "BlueMotion" diesel vehicles.

Garunteed to be a hit is the upcoming VW Tiguan- a new generation SUV designed to compliment the Touareg. Available only with supercharged engines, VW says the Tiguan promises decent fuel economy and a fun to drive factor which will be hard to match in the segment.

The German automaker is also scheduled to unveil six new BlueMotion models. Bluemotion is a badge which indicates the model is powered by an environmentally conscious green diesel engine. In the course of 2008, there will be nine new BlueMotion models offered, including the existing Passat and Polo models, which achieve exceptional mileage.

Also new are two quiet and clean diesel engines with common-rail injection, good for either 140 or 170 horsepower. Both mills conform to Euro 5 exhaust standards which are being introduced in 2009.

A prototype concept model which embodies this years theme of "Whats Driving Tomorrow" will also be presented by Dr. Martin Winterkorn, though details are sparse at this time.
