Chevrolet has unveiled the new livery of the new Cruze 1.6 turbo car that will take part in the 2011 FIA World Touring Car Championship.
Created by Belgian designer Jean-Paul Vanuf, from the Antracyt design firm, the new livery builds up on last year’s livery but is refreshed with more modern and dynamic touches, further enhancing the striking styling of the Cruze.
In addition, some of the livery elements have been modified, in particular the driver’s national flag that has been moved onto the roof, allowing the hood to recover the blue background as well as Chevrolet’s iconic bow-tie logo.
This season, Yvan Muller, as the new WTCC World Champion, will logically sport the number 1 on his car, while Rob Huff will have # 2. Exceptionally, Alain Menu will not have # 3, but will feature # 8. In a year where Chevrolet is celebrating its centennial, it was crucial to retain Louis Chevrolet’s lucky number (# 8, precisely) and to have our Swiss driver sporting it!
Yvan Muller and Rob Huff will drive two all-blue cars during the test session at Barcelona’s Catalunya circuit Thursday and Friday.
