Yvan Muller (Chevrolet) is out of reach in the WTCC driver’s championship after the FIA excluded both BMW cars from the results of Okayama’s races.
In Paris last Friday, in the hearing for the appeals lodged by Chevrolet, the International Court of Appeal annulled decisions n. 1 and 2 taken by the Panel of Stewards on 30 October 2010 at the FIA WTCC event in Okayama that authorized the BMW cars of Augusto Farfus and Andy Priaulx to use sequential gearboxes.
This also means that Colin Turkington inherited victory in the second race (his first WTCC win).
